Unified real-time remote monitoring

The KVM over IP solution allows the main administration office to access the servers in all 11 production plants and view the output in individual panels on one monitor via an intranet connection. Each device in each plant can be managed by simply moving the mouse pointer over the panel and clicking.
The new system has allowed the supplier to identify and react quickly to any faults, remotely control the production equipment from all 11 plants and act as a backup in case any onsite computer hardware breaks down. The addition of remote monitoring using a high-resolution video feed means the company is therefore able to best mitigate potential issues.

Challenges

  • The building and construction material supplier needed to monitor their operations in real-time both on their main premises and in their 11 production plants across Queensland – all from one computer in their main office.
  • Data security is a top concern for the supplier, so this will need to be considered when deciding on a solution.
  • All additions to the supplier’s digital architecture must be compatible with existing IT and construction hardware.

Flawless data protection across all sites

The supplier can now be assured that their confidential data is being transferred safely and securely, as the solution from ATEN includes advanced security measures including three-level security: Multi-administrator, multi-user and multi-viewer. This is in addition to advanced features like password protection, encryption technologies - 1024 bit RSA, 56 bit DES, 256 bit AES, and TLS 1.2 - and RADIUS server support.

System integration with legacy hardware

The KN2116va, CN8600, and CC2000 support a wide range of hardware and software standards, allowing the supplier to smoothly carry its Control System (including Aggregate Handling, Dust Collection, and Intelligent Humidity Control systems) into the digital age.
